MEET KASIA, THE FOUNDER

Kasia Truefitt , Founder & Director
MA Choreography, Expressive Arts Educator

Kasia grew up in North London and has spent over a decade working across the arts, education and community sectors. After training in Ballet, Musical Theatre and Contemporary Dance, she went on to complete a postgraduate degree in Choreography from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Her career has included roles with Blue Elephant Theatre, Herts Inclusive Theatre and the Royal Ballet & Opera, alongside extensive work as a freelance dance artist, choreographer and educator. Throughout her career, Kasia has been passionate about making the arts accessible to everyone and creating opportunities for children and young people to grow in confidence through creativity.

Through her work with schools and communities across London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Kasia saw first-hand the increasing challenges facing children's mental health and wellbeing. She also saw the powerful impact that dance, creativity and mindfulness can have on building confidence, emotional resilience and a sense of belonging.

After training as a Dancing Mindfulness facilitator in 2019, she founded Truefitt Collective to bring these practices together through creative early intervention programmes for children. Today, she leads the organisation with integrity, care and a deep commitment to helping young people thrive. Through workshops, school programmes, clubs and training, Truefitt Collective works to make dance inclusive and accessible while supporting healthier minds and bodies through the arts.

  • SUCCESS STORIES

Teacher: "I would definitely recommend a visit from this wonderful company, the children were really engaged and four months later, the children are still using some of the terminology to help with grounding themselves. I believe this is a perfect start to embedding self-regulation strategies in school and the dance element increases our children's cultural capital"
    - Assistant Headteacher (Sauncey Wood Primary School)

  • SUCCESS STORIES

Parent: “The dance club has not only given Clara something to look forward to at the end of each week but also a huge confidence boosts in applying herself to learn something new and in performing to all the parents at the end of term show. I would highly recommended, it’s a wonderful activity for children and a great opportunity for them to channel their energy in a very creative way whilst building confidence
    – Simon (Clara's Dad)
